Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective date: September 27, 2026
This policy explains how cancellations, plan changes, and refunds work for Toolscaled, operated by Toolscaled LLC ("we", "us"). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Plans and billing
- Toolscaled has a Free plan and a paid monthly plan, Starter. A paid plan renews automatically each month on the date you first subscribed, until you cancel.
- Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance. Included credits reset at the start of each billing period. Unused included credits do not carry over.
- You can also buy credit packs, as a one-time purchase or through automatic top-up. Pack credits expire 12 months after purchase.
- Stripe processes all payments. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply.
2. Cancelling a paid plan
- A workspace administrator can cancel at any time from the workspace's Plan and usage page (Plan card, "Cancel at period end").
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your paid plan and its credits until then, and we do not charge you again.
- You can undo a cancellation before the period ends.
- When the period ends, the workspace returns to the Free plan (or, for a workspace that is not eligible for Free, it becomes inactive). Your workflows and data stay in the workspace, subject to Free plan limits.
3. Changing plans
- Upgrade: the new plan starts at once. We charge the full price of the new plan and credit the unused days of your old plan. A new billing period starts on the day of the upgrade. If the payment fails, your plan does not change.
- Downgrade: the lower plan starts at the end of the current billing period. You keep the higher plan until then.
4. Automatic top-ups
- Automatic top-ups are off until an administrator turns them on and saves a card. They buy a pack only when the included allowance and all packs are used, and never above the monthly cap you set. Each pack is charged at its price plus applicable sales tax; the cap counts pack prices before tax.
- You can turn automatic top-ups off at any time. This stops new charges but does not reverse a charge already made; see section 5 for refunds.
5. Refunds
- Subscription fees: monthly fees are not refundable, and we do not give partial refunds for unused time in a period, except as stated in this section or where the law requires it.
- Credit packs: you may ask for a refund of a pack within 14 days of purchase if you have not used any of its credits. We refund the full price to the original payment method and remove the pack's credits.
- Billing errors: if we charged you in error (for example, a duplicate charge, or a charge after a cancellation took effect), we refund the charge in full.
- Service failure: if a fault on our side stopped the service for a long period, contact us. We may give a refund or credits at our discretion.
- Other cases: our support team may give a refund or credits at its discretion in cases this policy does not cover.
- Refunds usually reach your account within 5 to 10 business days after we approve them, depending on your bank.
- A refunded or disputed pack's credits are removed from the balance. If you file a payment dispute (chargeback) with your bank, we may suspend paid features on the workspace while the dispute is open. Contact us first; we can usually resolve billing problems faster.
6. Customers in the EU and the UK
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital services. When you subscribe or buy credits, we ask you to agree that the service starts at once and that you lose this right of withdrawal once it starts. If you do not agree, you cannot complete the purchase. This does not affect your other rights under consumer law, including the refunds in section 5.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the paid plan becomes inactive at once and the Workspaces page shows the reason. Stripe retries the payment. When a retry succeeds, the paid plan becomes active again. If all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled and section 2 applies.
8. Closing your account
Cancelling a plan does not delete your account. To leave a workspace, ask its administrator or email support@toolscaled.com. Account deletion is covered in our Privacy Policy.
9. How to ask for a refund
Email support@toolscaled.com from the address on your account. Include the workspace name, the date and amount of the charge, and the reason. We answer within two business days.

10. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy. We post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes do not affect a purchase made before the change.
