Before you connect
With these three things ready, connecting an agent takes only a few steps. This page also says what you allow when you approve the connection.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- A Toolscaled account. Sign up; the Free plan needs no card.
- A workspace where you are an Administrator, Author or Can start runs. You create your first workspace when you sign up.
- A published toolkit in that workspace. A new workspace gets a starter toolkit when it is created.
Connector URL
Section titled “Connector URL”The connector URL is the same for every agent, so you can keep it at hand:
https://mcp.toolscaled.com/mcpToolscaled uses OAuth sign-in only. You sign in on a Toolscaled page, and the agent needs no JSON configuration, API key or bearer token.
What you approve
Section titled “What you approve”You connect the agent to one workspace. The agent can start sessions with any published toolkit in that workspace. The default toolkit is what it gets when it does not name one. If you are a workspace administrator, the agent also gets the tools that change the workspace itself. The approval page shows the name the agent gives itself. Toolscaled does not verify that name, so approve only agents that you added yourself.
Change the workspace
Section titled “Change the workspace”To work in another of your workspaces, ask the agent, for example “switch Toolscaled to my Globex workspace”. The agent lists the workspaces you can use and moves the connection to the one you name; you do not connect again. When that workspace has more than one toolkit, the agent asks which one to use. Sessions you started before the switch stay in their workspace, and the next session starts in the new one.
If your agent asks you to sign in to Toolscaled again after an update, approve the connection once more. Your workspaces, workflows and sessions stay as they were.
