Tools
You never call these tools yourself: your agent does, when you ask in plain words. Toolscaled gives the agent a small, fixed set of tools, and the tools of your toolkits are called through bundle_tool.
| Tool | What it does | Effect |
|---|---|---|
inspect |
Shows the state of your workspace and the next step to take. The agent calls it first. | Reads |
skill_guide |
Loads the guides and toolkit playbooks that tell the agent how to do a kind of work. | Reads |
session_tool |
Starts, resumes, lists and ends sessions. A session is one piece of work with one toolkit. | Reads and changes |
bundle_tool |
Lists the tools in the session’s toolkit and calls them. These tools can reach the services you connected, and some of them change data there. | Reads and changes |
workflow_tool |
Turns the calls of a session into a workflow with inputs and steps, publishes it, and runs it. | Reads and changes |
automation_tool |
Sets when a published workflow runs by itself (a schedule, a new email, a webhook, a form, or another workflow) and shows how it went. | Reads and changes |
open_console |
Opens the Toolscaled console inside the chat: a session, a task, or the action items of the workspace. | Reads |
console_feed |
Gives the console the state it shows. | Reads |
feedback_tool |
Sends the Toolscaled team a feature request or a bug report in your words, with your email address and workspace, after you agree to the text. | Reads and changes |
admin_tool |
Workspace administrators only. Adds tools from OpenAPI documents or other MCP servers, manages credentials and checks connections. | Reads and changes |
authoring_tool |
Workspace administrators only. Builds toolkits and writes playbooks. | Reads and changes |
